Matthew Gaeta Principal

Matt is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s Miami office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth and operational initiatives.

With over a decade of experience in private equity and M&A, Matt has executed investments across several industries, including healthcare, consumer, business services, environmental, and industrials.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Matt worked for Kinderhook Industries, a middle market private equity firm. He began his career at Harris Williams & Co.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University where he was a member of the men’s basketball team.
