Fernando Marques Oliveira Managing Director & Head of H.I.G. LatAm

Fernando Marques Oliveira is a Managing Director and Head of the H.I.G. Brazil & Latin America Fund. With 25 years of experience in the Brazilian and Latin American private equity market, he has led more than 70 successful investments in the region in various sectors.

Before joining H.I.G., Fernando was the Head of Brazil & Latin America and a Member of the Global Council at General Atlantic. Prior to that, Fernando spent a number of years at Icatu, a leading Brazilian family office, where he was a Partner and Head of Private Equity and Illiquid Strategies.

Currently, Fernando is an Independent Board Member of Itaúsa (B3:ITSA4), one of the largest Brazilian conglomerates. He was elected as one of the “40 under 40” Brazilian corporate leaders by Forbes in 2015.

Fernando received his B.B.A. from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, with highest honors, and is a J.P.C. Vieira scholar, ranking first in his class.
