Federico Gonzalez Principal

Federico is a Principal in H.I.G.’s Bogota office, where he focuses on all aspects of deal execution process, such as transaction structuring and negotiation, and post-closing portfolio company oversight.

Federico has more than fourteen years of experience in the private equity and M&A industry, covering a wide range of sectors and investment strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., he was an investment professional at Altra Investments, a Private Equity firm in the Andean region. Prior to that, Federico worked in Liberty Mutual Group’s office in Boston, as well as for Equity International in Chicago. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banking professional at Estrategias Corporativas.

Federico holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering and an Economics degree from Universidad de los Andes. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
