Douglas Berman

Douglas Berman

Mr. Berman is the Head of H.I.G. Capital's U.S. Private Equity business. He joined the firm in 1996, and has served as an Executive Managing Director since 2007. Before that, Mr. Berman led the acquisition of more than 40 businesses for H.I.G. Capital.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Mr. Berman was a Consultant at Bain & Company, one of the world’s most successful management consulting firms. While at Bain, he managed a variety of projects for Fortune 1000 clients, developing expertise in manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial services.

Mr. Berman holds a BA degree with Honors in Economics from the University of Virginia, and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Byrne

Chris Byrne

Chris is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s New York office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies. Chris has more than ten years of experience in private equity and M&A and has executed transactions in several industries including business services, consumer, healthcare, industrials, retail, and technology.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Chris worked on the direct private equity team at CPPIB and at Brazos Private Equity Partners. Chris began his career in the investment banking division of Citigroup.

Chris received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University.

Anthony Chambers

Anthony Chambers

Anthony is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital's Miami office, where he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction execution and implementation of post-closing operating initiatives. Anthony has private equity investing experience across a range of industries including healthcare, oil and gas and business services.

Anthony has more than a decade of experience in private equity and M&A. Prior to re-joining H.I.G. Capital in 2017, Anthony worked for Thompson Street Capital Partners. Anthony began his career in the investment banking group at Bank of America.

Anthony earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science, summa cum laude, with a focus on premedical studies from the University of Notre Dame.

Brandon Cohen

Brandon Cohen

Brandon is a Principal in H.I.G.’s Miami office, where he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including deal origination, transaction structuring, and post-closing growth and operational initiatives. Brandon has private equity investing experience across a range of industries. He currently serves on the board of directors of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Brandon has over a decade of experience in private equity and M&A. Prior to joining H.I.G., Brandon worked for Brockway Moran. He also has operating experience as a member of the executive team of MD Now Urgent Care. Brandon began his career in the Global Consumer group of Barclays Capital.

Brandon earned his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.

Adam Cole

Adam Cole

Adam is a Principal in H.I.G.’s San Francisco office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing and transaction execution, as well as working with portfolio companies and their management teams to improve growth and profitability.

Adam has more than a decade of experience in private equity and M&A and has worked with companies in a variety of industries, with a focus on technology, industrials and business services sectors. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital in 2011, Adam worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking group, where he advised clients on M&A transactions, capital raises and other strategic initiatives.

Adam received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University.

Jonathan Contos

Jonathan Contos

Jon is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital's San Francisco office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including origination, transaction structuring, financing and execution of post-closing growth strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Jon was as a Principal at American Infrastructure Funds where he evaluated and executed middle market private equity investments in a variety of industries and served on the boards of a number of portfolio companies. Previously, Jon was a private equity associate at TPG Capital and an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Jon earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his undergraduate degree in economics, cum laude, from Harvard University.

Alexandre Ekierman

Alexandre Ekierman

Alexandre Ekierman is a Principal in H.I.G.’s New York office and a senior member of the Capital Markets team for the North American Private Equity business. He is responsible for all aspects of the financing process for both new platforms and existing portfolio companies, including credit structuring and syndication. As part of his role, Alexandre also helps to manage H.I.G.’s broader capital markets strategy and lender relationships.

Alexandre has more than 10 years of capital markets and investing experience. Prior to joining H.I.G., he spent 7 years at KKR where he was a Director in the Credit & Markets division, responsible for private debt and capital markets origination and execution for financial sponsors and other firm clients. Prior to KKR, Alexandre spent 2 years at NewGlobe Capital Partners and 3 years at J.P. Morgan, where he focused on leveraged finance transactions across European markets.

Alexandre received his B.S.E. (Cum Laude) from Princeton University.

Kyle is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s New York office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including originating and executing transactions, as well as working with portfolio companies and their management teams to execute post-closing growth and operational strategies. He currently serves on the board of directors of several H.I.G. Capital portfolio companies.

Kyle has more than a decade of experience in private equity and M&A across a broad range of industries, including business services, consumer, logistics and chemicals. Kyle also has operating experience as a prior member of the leadership team at Empire Today. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital in 2014, Kyle worked for Wells Fargo Securities in the Investment Banking division, where he advised clients on M&A transactions, capital raises, and other strategic initiatives.

Kyle earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jon is a Managing Director based in H.I.G.'s Miami office. He is focused on execution of post-closing profit improvement strategies. Jon has led investments in a number of industries including food, healthcare, retail / consumer products, transportation, oil and gas services, and manufacturing.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Jon was with Bain & Company, a leading management and strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, Jon advised a number of Fortune 100 and Private Equity clients across a range of industries. Prior to Bain, Jon worked at Hewlett-Packard and the Mitchell Madison Group.

Jon earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital’s Miami office. Mike has private equity investing experience across a wide range of industries including healthcare, business services, consumer and industrials.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2013, Mike worked at Apax Partners, a leading private equity firm, and at Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, where he led a variety of strategic initiatives. Mike was also a member of the Global Industrial Group at the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers.

Mike earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University.

Evan Giancaterino

Evan is a Principal responsible for all aspects of the private equity investment process including origination, execution, and post-acquisition management. Evan has over a decade of experience investing and serving on the boards of portfolio companies primarily in the Business Services, Technology, and Industrial sectors.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Evan worked for PAI Partners and Court Square Capital in New York. Evan began his private equity career at Investcorp where he spent six years focused on investments in a range of industries.

Evan graduated with a concentration in Finance, cum laude, from Georgetown University.

Matt has led investments across a wide range of industries, and currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2007, Matt was a Consultant at Mars & Co., where he worked with Fortune 50 companies in the consumer products, media, and manufacturing industries. He rejoined H.I.G. in 2020 after spending three years as a Partner at Comvest where he led the business services and chemicals industry verticals.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College. He earned his M.B.A. from The Wharton School and his Master of Arts degree in International Studies through the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

Paul Gurm

Paul Gurm

Paul is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s New York office, where he focuses on the firm’s Infrastructure activities. Paul is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including origination, transaction structuring, financing and execution of post-closing growth strategies.

Paul has over a decade of private equity and corporate finance experience. Prior to joining H.I.G., Paul worked at American Infrastructure Funds where he evaluated and executed middle market infrastructure investments across a wide range of industries and served on the boards of multiple portfolio companies. Previously, Paul was a member of the Energy Investment Banking team at J.P. Morgan where he advised clients on M&A, capital markets, and strategic initiatives. Paul began his career at PwC in Canada.

Paul earned his Master of Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and an undergraduate degree in Commerce from Dalhousie University.

Matt is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital's San Francisco office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies. Matt has more than ten years of experience investing in middle market companies and has executed transactions in several industries including business services, infrastructure services, E-commerce services, healthcare services, financial services, and technology. Matt currently serves on the board of Capstone Logistics, Lipari Foods and Digital Room.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Matt worked in middle market private equity with Sterling Partners. Prior to that Matt co-founded Metropolitan Capital Bank. Matt began his career in strategy roles with J.P. Morgan and Accenture.

Matt received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from The University of Michigan College of Engineering and his M.B.A., with honors, from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Academy for Global Citizenship, a Public Charter School that helps develop and educate economically underprivileged children.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2014, John worked for Riverside Partners, focusing on control investments in the healthcare and technology sectors. He began his career at BMO Capital Markets, in the healthcare investment banking group.

John received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree from Brown University.

Peter Hart is a Principal in the Middle Market Fund and is based in the New York office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and executing post-closing growth and operational strategies. Peter has private equity investing experience across a wide range of industries including business services, consumer, chemicals, and industrials.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2015, Peter worked for AEA Investors in the Consumer/Retail Group. He began his career at the Boston Consulting Group, based in the Chicago Office.

Peter earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in Finance Entrepreneurship from Indiana University.

Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital in 2018, Zachary worked at Partners Group where he executed middle market private equity investments. He began his career at Macquarie Group.

Zachary earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana and his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Camilo E. Horvilleur

Camilo is a Managing Director based in H.I.G. Capital's Miami office. Camilo is responsible for investment sourcing, transaction negotiation, and portfolio company value creation strategies. Since joining H.I.G. Capital’s U.S. LBO group in 2006, Camilo has helped lead private equity investments in a number of industries including healthcare, business services, insurance, logistics, communications, technology and industrials. Camilo has served on the board of directors of several H.I.G. companies including ATX Networks, PMSI, Capstone Logistics, Safe-Guard Products, Service Net and Align Networks.

Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Camilo was an Associate with Morgan Stanley in New York where he focused on the telecom industry and emerging markets. Camilo also worked at Atticus Capital, an alternative asset manager, as an investment analyst.

Camilo earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University, summa cum laude, and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Rob has over a decade of private equity investing experience in a variety of industries including chemicals, transportation, business services, consumer services, and industrials.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Rob worked in private equity at The Carlyle Group focusing on investments in the healthcare sector. Rob started his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch.

Rob received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science with honors from Columbia University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Ryan has over ten years of private equity and investment banking experience. Prior to joining H.I.G., Ryan was an Associate and then Vice President at the middle-market private equity firm Quad-C Management. He began his career as an Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Credit Suisse.

Ryan received his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Rahul has over a decade of public and private equity investing experience, has served on the board of multiple portfolio companies, and has made investments across a wide range of industries, including consumer and retail, business services, industrials, and technology. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and post-closing governance.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Rahul worked at 3G Capital, where he was involved with the firm’s public and private investments, including serving as a senior executive at Restaurant Brands International. He began his career as a consultant in Accenture Strategy’s M&A practice.

Rahul earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University.

Bonjean is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s Advantage Fund and is based in the San Francisco office, where she is responsible for all aspects of the investment process.

Bonjean has over a decade of experience in private equity in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining H.I.G., Bonjean worked at Golden Gate Capital and Lightyear Capital. She began her career in the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan.

Matthew has more than 15 years of capital markets and investing experience. Prior to joining H.I.G., he spent 6 years at KKR where he was a Director in the Credit & Markets division, responsible for private debt and capital markets origination and execution for financial sponsors and other firm clients. Prior to KKR, Matthew spent 5 years at Credit Suisse where he focused on Leveraged Finance and Equity Capital Markets.

Michael Kuritzky

Michael Kuritzky

Michael is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital's San Francisco office, where he focuses on making investments in stable, growth-oriented companies for the Advantage Fund. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, financing and post-closing governance.

With a decade of experience in private equity and M&A, Michael has served on the boards of a number of H.I.G. portfolio companies, and has made investments across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, consumer, and government / business services.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2010, Michael worked for McKinsey and Company in New York, where he advised Fortune 500 healthcare, technology and industrial clients on a range of business issues at the intersection of strategy and corporate finance.

Michael holds a B.S. in Economics with High Distinction, magna cum laude, from Duke University and an M.B.A. with Honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tyler Levin

Tyler Levin

Tyler is a Principal based in H.I.G. Capital’s San Francisco office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and executing post-closing growth and operational strategies.

Tyler has more than ten years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Tyler was a Vice President at Ares Management where he executed private equity investments in a variety of industries. Previously, Tyler was a private equity associate at Leonard Green & Partners and an analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Citigroup.

Tyler earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University, summa cum laude.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2009, Matt worked with private equity firms including Behrman Capital and Audax Private Equity focusing on late stage buyouts and recapitalizations. Matt began his career as a consultant with Bain & Company.

Matt received his undergraduate engineering degree from M.I.T. and his M.B.A. from Wharton.

Elliot Maluth

Elliot Maluth

Elliot is a Managing Director based in H.I.G.'s San Francisco office. He is responsible for all key aspects of the private investment transaction process including deal origination, transaction structuring and negotiating, and post-closing portfolio company oversight. Elliot is focused on building H.I.G.'s portfolio of investments in the western U.S. in business services and consumer goods and services.

Elliot's career spans more than 30 years, with over two decades of experience in the private equity industry, and prior experience in management consulting and sales management. He has been a Managing Director at H.I.G. since 2004.

Prior to H.I.G., he was a Partner with the private equity firm Behrman Capital. Before that, he was an Associate at Golder Thoma Cressey Rauner (GTCR), a private equity firm in Chicago. At both firms, Elliot was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing buyouts and recapitalizations of privately held companies, and overseeing investments post-closing. Earlier in his career, he was a Manager in the Strategic Consulting Group of Price Waterhouse and a Sales Manager in the Beverage Division of Procter & Gamble.

Elliot earned a B.B.A. from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

David Miller

David Miller

David is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital's Miami office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and executing post-closing growth, operational and add-on acquisition strategies. He currently serves on the board of directors of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

David has over a decade of experience in private equity and M&A. Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2017, David focused on technology investments at The Rubicon Project, a publicly traded company, after serving as an Associate Director at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners and a Vice President at Relativity Capital where he gained experience across a number of industries including aerospace, business services and consumer products. He began his career as an Analyst in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

David earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating as a Palmer Scholar, and earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with honors.

Charles Mills

Charlie is a Managing Director for Business Development at H.I.G. Capital. He is responsible for identifying and pursuing new investment opportunities across H.I.G.’s funds.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Charlie had a successful 16 year Investment Banking career. He was a Managing Director at a number of leading middle market firms including: Houlihan Lokey, where he ran the firm’s southeast U.S. Investment Banking effort; Macquarie Capital, where he led the Diversified Manufacturing and Distribution practice group; and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he headed the firm’s Industrial group. Prior to his Investment Banking career, Charlie served as a Officer in the U.S. Navy. His service included roles as a Surface Warfare Office and Nuclear Engineer.

Charlie received his M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.S. with distinction in Economics with Honors from the United States Naval Academy.

Sami Mnaymneh

Sami Mnaymneh

Sami Mnaymneh is a Founder and Co-CEO of H.I.G. Capital. He has directed the firm's development since its founding in 1993 and approves all capital commitments made by H.I.G.

Prior to founding H.I.G., Sami was a Managing Director with The Blackstone Group in New York. Prior to that, he was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Morgan Stanley & Co., where he devoted a significant amount of his time to leveraged buyouts, serving as senior advisor to a number of prominent private equity firms. Sami has at various times served on a number of academic boards including the Board of Columbia College and the Dean’s Council of the Harvard Law School.

Sami earned a B.A. degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Columbia University where he graduated first in his class, and subsequently received a J.D. degree and an M.B.A. degree, with honors, from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, respectively.

Arjun Mohan

Todd Ofenloch

Todd is a Managing Director in the Boston office of H.I.G. Capital. Since joining the firm in 2009, he has been responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, as well as working with certain existing portfolio companies. Todd has over 15 years of experience investing in middle market private equity transactions and has worked on investments in a broad range of industries, including building products, business services, enterprise software, food and consumer products, hospitality and travel services, and media and marketing services. He currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to H.I.G., Todd was an investment professional at Parthenon Capital Partners, GTCR, and The Halifax Group. He began his career as an investment banker at Lazard Frères, specializing in mergers & acquisitions advisory services.

Todd graduated with Bronze Tablet honors from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Accountancy (CPA) and received an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School.

Rachel is a Principal in H.I.G. Capital’s San Francisco office. She is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including originating, structuring, financing and executing post -closing growth and operational strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Rachel worked for Paine Schwartz Partners, focusing on food and agribusiness investments. She began her career at Deutsche Bank , advising clients on M&A transactions, capital raises, and other strategic initiatives.

Rachel earned a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College, magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Edward Pallesen

Edward Pallesen

Ed is a Managing Director based in H.I.G.’s New York office and co-leads the firm’s Infrastructure Fund.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Ed was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. Ed worked at Goldman Sachs for 19 years in a variety of capacities, including in the Telecom, Media and Technology group in Investment Banking, and, most recently, as head of the Americas at Goldman Sachs’ Infrastructure fund. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ed served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Ed earned a B.A. from Harvard College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a D.Phil. from Oxford University, with honors, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Keval Patel

Keval Patel

Keval is a Managing Director, the Head of the U.S. Middle Market LBO Fund and the Head of North American Chemicals. He is based in H.I.G. Capital's Miami office.  As head of U.S Middle Market, Keval oversees all of the day-to-day management, investment and portfolio management activities of H.I.G. Middle Market IV, LP and its active predecessor funds.

He has more than nineteen years of experience in middle market private equity and has led investments across a wide range of industries including chemicals, industrials, building products, technology, and business services.

Keval currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies including USAlco, Vantage Specialty Chemicals, Recochem, Riveron Consulting, Velocity Solutions, Symplicity Corporation and DCL.  Keval’s prior investments include Stream Global Services, TestAmerica, Infogix, Cornerstone Chemical Company, ACG Materials and Valtris Specialty Chemicals.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Keval worked for Graham Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in suburban Philadelphia focused on manufacturing, building products and packaging businesses. Prior to Graham, Keval worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup.

Miriam is a Managing Director in the infrastructure team and is based in H.I.G. Capital’s New York office. Previously, she spent nine years as a member of the H.I.G. Middle Market Buyout fund, where she focused on the Industrial sector. She is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Miriam worked in private equity at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners. Miriam began her career in the Energy Investment Banking group at Credit Suisse.

Miriam earned her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her undergraduate degree from the George Washington University.

Justin is a Managing Director in H.I.G.'s Advantage Fund and is based in the San Francisco office, where he focuses on investing in the consumer sector.

Justin has over 20 years of middle market private equity experience and has led investments across a wide range of industries including consumer products and services, retail, healthcare, and business services. Justin is involved in all aspects of the investment process including deal sourcing, transaction negotiation and execution, and portfolio company oversight. Justin currently serves on the board of Empire Today, Lipari Foods and Windows USA.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2010, Justin was with Fox Paine and Golden Gate Capital. Previously, Justin was with DB Capital Partners, the predecessor firm to MidOcean Partners. He began his career as an analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Matthew is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital’s Advantage Fund with over a decade of investing experience. He leads all aspects of the investment process and currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. Capital portfolio companies. Based in San Francisco, Matt focuses on investments in the TMT & Tech-Enabled Business Service sectors.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2012, Matthew worked at Goldman Sachs in their Investment Banking Division. While at Goldman he worked with companies in the Consumer & Retail sectors. He started his career in management and operations consulting.

Matthew earned an M.B.A with honors and distinction from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.

Garrett has more than a decade of experience in private equity and M&A. Prior to re-joining H.I.G. Capital in 2018, Garrett worked for Harvest Partners where he led transactions across a wide range of industries, including industrials, business services, consumer products, and healthcare. Garrett started his career in the investment banking division at J.P. Morgan.

Garrett earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts with a joint concentration in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.

Rick Rosen

Rick Rosen

Rick is Co-President of H.I.G. Capital with over twenty-five years of private equity and M&A experience. In his current position, along with Brian Schwartz, he directs the day-to-day operations of the firm and sits on the investment committees for all H.I.G. funds.

Since joining H.I.G. in 1998, he has been involved in all aspects of the investment process; and has held leadership positions in several of the firm’s funds.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Rick worked at General Electric Company and GE Capital. As part of the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team, he coordinated a variety of strategic acquisitions in the financial services, plastics, medical systems, electronics, and aerospace industries. Previously, Rick was a member of the GE Corporate Finance Staff, where he helped design and implement improved business strategies and operating processes for GE Capital business units.

Rick received his undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Alok has more than 15 years of experience in private equity and M&A. Prior to joining H.I.G., Alok led corporate development at MultiPlan Inc., a large healthcare company where he was responsible for corporate strategy and M&A activity including the sale of MultiPlan in a $4.4B LBO. Before MultiPlan, Alok spent 8 years at Warburg Pincus where he focused on healthcare investments. He began his career at The Boston Consulting Group.

Prior to that, he worked at Apax Partners where he focused on investments in financial and business services and healthcare. Justin began his career as an M&A and restructuring analyst at Greenhill & Co.

Brian is Co-President of H.I.G. Capital. He joined the firm in 1994. In his current position, along with Rick Rosen, he directs the day-to-day operations of the firm and sits on the investment committees for all H.I.G. funds.

Since joining H.I.G. in 1994, Brian held a number of leadership positions at the firm.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Brian worked in PepsiCo’s strategic planning group. His responsibilities included managing strategic acquisitions for PepsiCo and evaluating new business opportunities. Brian began his career with the investment banking firm of Dillon, Read and Co. where he split his time between the corporate finance group and the private equity funds, Saratoga Partners and Yorktown Partners.

Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital’s LBO group in 2012, Strother worked at Harris Williams & Co. in their dedicated Healthcare & Life Sciences investment banking group. He began his career in technology consulting.

Carlos Soto is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Private Equity Business Development, based in H.I.G. Capital’s Miami office. He is responsible for leading the business development and transaction origination efforts for all of H.I.G.’s U.S. private equity funds. Carlos has private equity investing experience across a wide range of industries.

Prior to joining H.I.G, Carlos was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at MSD Partners L.P., where he was responsible for leading and managing the origination and business development efforts for MSD Private Capital. Prior to MSD, Carlos was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Comvest Partners. Carlos started his private equity career at The Gores Group, where he was a member of the business development team.

Prior to that, he spent ten years as a Managing Director leading investments across a wide range of industries including industrial, consumer products, business services, and technology. With over 20 years of experience in middle market private equity, he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, and execution of post-closing growth and operational strategies. Ricky currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2000, Ricky was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Salomon Smith Barney.

Tony Tamer is a Founder and Co-CEO of H.I.G. Capital. He has directed H.I.G.'s development since its founding in 1993 and approves all capital commitments made by the firm.

Tony has extensive experience working with, and coaching, early stage and middle-market companies. He currently also serves on the Dean’s Council of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

Prior to H.I.G., Tony was partner at Bain & Company where he developed business unit and operating strategies, and implemented productivity improvement initiatives. Tony also previously held marketing, engineering and manufacturing positions at Hewlett-Packard and Sprint Corporation.

Tony holds an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School, and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. His undergraduate degree is from Rutgers University.

Aaron Tolson

Aaron is a Managing Director in the Middle Market Fund of H.I.G. Capital. Based in San Francisco, Aaron is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, financing, and executing investments as well as helping portfolio companies with their growth and operational improvement efforts. Aaron serves on the boards of Buck, Lionbridge, and TLC Vision and focuses on investments in the Technology, Media, and Telecom sectors.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Aaron was a Vice President at Summit Partners and American Securities and served on the boards of Unison Site Management, Presidio Holdings, Robertson Aviation, and Stride and Associates. Aaron was also previously the co-founder and CEO of a mobile enterprise software company. Earlier in his career, Aaron was an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army and served in Iraq, Bosnia, and Korea.

Aaron received his undergraduate degree from West Point and earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2008, he was a Consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, financial, and automotive industries across North America and Europe. While at Bain, Kevin also worked in the dedicated private equity practice focusing on market, company, and competitive due diligence for global private equity funds.

Kevin earned his M.B.A. from The Kellogg School of Management, and he graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science dual degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics, cum laude.

John brings over fifteen years of investment, management and operating experience across a variety of industries. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital in 2004, John was a senior associate with several leading consulting firms, working with private and public middle market and large-cap companies to develop and implement financial, operational and strategic plans. John began his career in the Corporate Finance Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

John earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Babson College.

Praneeth is a Principal in the Advantage Fund of H.I.G. Capital. Praneeth serves on several H.I.G. boards and focuses on investments in Software, Technology, Telecom, and IT Services.

Praneeth has over a decade of experience in Private Equity and M&A. Prior to joining H.I.G., Praneeth was with Amazon’s research and development arm, Lab126, out of Cupertino and Sunnyvale. At Lab126, Praneeth focused on product development and international expansion for Amazon devices and corresponding software. Earlier in his career, Praneeth was in Bank of America’s Technology, Media, and Telecom investment banking group in New York.

Praneeth received his M.S. and B.S. degrees, magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors in Computer Science from Yale University and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

George Watts

George is a Managing Director on the infrastructure team based in H.I.G.’s New York office. George has approximately 20 years of infrastructure investing and advisory experience across a wide range of industries including energy, including energy transition, transportation and communications.

Prior to joining H.I.G., George was a Managing Director at Stonepeak Partners, where he led multiple investments in both their flagship North American Infrastructure Fund and their Global Renewable Energy Fund. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, where he advised clients on M&A transactions, capital raises, and other strategic initiatives.

George earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Dartmouth College.

Rob is an Executive Managing Director. He is the Head of the H.I.G. Advantage Buyout Fund (""Advantage Fund"") and oversees H.I.G.'s Healthcare efforts in the U.S.

Prior to running the H.I.G. Advantage Fund, Rob spent 10 years as a Managing Director leading transactions in both the Advantage Fund as well as in H.I.G.’s Lower Middle Market Buyout Fund. Rob has worked with companies in a variety of industries with a focus on healthcare, business services, and technology.

Rob brings over twenty years of investment and operating experience across many industries. Prior to H.I.G., Rob was an executive at IPWireless (“IPW”), a wireless infrastructure provider. Rob began his career as a consultant with LEK Consulting, a leading worldwide strategy consulting firm where he worked with Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms and private equity portfolio companies.

John Woyton is a Managing Director and Head of the H.I.G. Technology Fund. John has nearly 20 years of experience in the technology private equity sector.

Prior to joining H.I.G., he was a Managing Director and Partner at Advent International where he helped form and lead the global TMT group. During his tenure at Advent, funds managed by Advent invested in numerous platform companies in the tech sector in control and growth capital transactions. Prior to joining Advent, Mr. Woyton worked at The Carlyle Group, 3i, and UBS Investment Bank.

Jeff Zanarini

Jeff Zanarini

Jeff is a Managing Director and Head of the Portfolio Optimization Group across H.I.G.’s private equity funds. He has over twenty-five years of M&A/advisory experience, working with firms ranging from mid-market, privately-held organizations to multi-national public organizations.

Jeff is responsible for investment origination, transaction negotiation, and portfolio company oversight. He currently serves on the board of directors of several H.I.G. companies, and has led numerous LBO transactions with a focus on business & government services, industrial, logistics and commodity-based enterprises. Jeff also oversees the Portfolio Optimization Group for the U.S. private equity funds.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Jeff was with Bain & Company in Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia and at Goldman Sachs in New York City.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science (Economics) and Bachelor of Arts (French) degrees, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Richard is a Principal in H.I.G.’s New York office. Prior to H.I.G., Scott was a Principal at Staple Street Capital and a member of the executive team at PMSI (an H.I.G. portfolio company). Scott started his career in the Technology, Media and Telecom group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
